Supporting the journey home……….

A community initiative, the Bushifre Support Centre in Hurstbridge is wonderful place to drop in for coffee or cake and a chat. The coffee is real and the chat friendly.

Located across the road from the Hurstbridge Primary School, the centre has free, unlimited Internet access for those who have not been able to get back on line.

Donations keep rolling in and if cant find what you are looking for you can ask to centre to try to source it or at least keep an eye out and let you know if comes in.

Everything from pets to washing machines.

During the week the centre is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm and on Saturday you can drop in from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

A wide range of clothes, along with books and toys for the kids, food, electrical appliances that have all been checked and come with certification and household goods can be found inside the centre. Outside under cover is a huge range of furniture and larger appliances.

With a clothes washing facility and the centres ability to organise working bees, the Hurstbridge Support Centre, does just that…

You can phone the centre on 9718 2759 or email at

Thanks so much to Helen and the team at Hurtsbridge. This centre is a remarkable place, friendly, helpful and cheerful. Makes you really appreciate being a local when you visit.
